The KENZO Spring Summer 2015 campaign reflects the combination of bright and futuristic inspirations from the KENZO men’s and women’s Spring- Summer 2015 Collections.  To imagine the new KENZO world, Creative Directors Humberto Leon and Carol Lim once again called on the talents of TOILETPAPER, a collective composed of artist Maurizio Cattelan, photographer Pierpaolo Ferrari and art director, Micol Talso.

Set in a graphic and modern cityscape, the team wanted to convey an optimistic utopia and also to provide an element of surprise in the images.  The viewer witnesses at once something instantly recognizable and familiar but upon closer reflection records an observation into the unknown.

For us, TOILETPAPER were an obvious choice for us to work with on this project.  The strength and impact of their work is often in the most subtle visual tricks which become more powerful the longer you are exposed to them.

The first Lady was wearing the Distortion print from the Pre Fall collection, inspired by David Lynch's oeuvre.

It's a well known story that the 'Liberty enlightening the world' was designed by a French sculptor (Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi) as a gift to the United States from the people of France.

Yet very few people know that hundreds of smaller replicas have been created worldwide. The first (original) statue stands in the Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris but there is an other one near the Grenelle Bridge on the Île aux Cygnes. So the Statue of Liberty is also part of the Parisian monuments and made complete sense in our Spring/Summer 2015 collection inspired by the city of love and the city that nevers sleeps!

The Statue of Liberty and the Eiffel Tower were two elements of the same idea: Carol and Humberto's outsiders vision of Paris throug the eyes of two Americans raised in California and living in New York.

For Christmas, the iron ladies both turn gold in a shiny version for men and women, announcing a whole collection in Spring/Summer dedicated to New York and Paris.

The Kids campaign is set in a surreal world that David Lynch himself would not disown. Photographer Balarama Heller successfully captured the playful essence of this shooting through exclusive behind the scenes images. This is our selection.

Our Kalifornia bag celebrates its third season with new colorways, new fabrics but also a new format: the Mini Kali! In rubberized waterproof leather, the Mini Kali will land in the eshop and in our KENZO boutiques from December 1st 2014. Available in yellow, midnight blue, rose and white, it also comes in the traditional Kalifornia colors: red, grey and black.

We asked Swiss photographer Mathilde Agius to shoot an editorial story around the Monster print. The pattern is inspired by David Lynch's work : experimental, weird and strongly rooted in the industrial North of the United States. Born from a mix of everyday life tools referring to the industrial nature of the area, monsters take the shape of fossils, dinosaurs but also coral or exotic flowers. Things are not always what they look like.
