JUNGLES OF PARIS #8: THE "PARC DES FéLINS"

But one of the most immersive places near Paris that have really captured a piece of the jungle's essence lies just 50 km to the east, in the middle of a jungle-esque woodlands. The Parc des Felins is a zoo dedicated to the conservation of felines of all kinds, and attempts to keep their numerous big cats (and the occasional lemur) in large, more natural areas and "pleasant conditions" viewable by human eyes only from protected trails and trains. The inhabitants of this park give you what may be the closest thing to a real life jungle safari around Paris!
