Just in time for it to hit the 20-years-ago mark, New Museum in New York's exhibition called "1993: Experimental Jet Set, Trash and No Star" is cutting open the entire state of American art and society by showing an almost random selection of art that was made or shown in New York in 1993. It's exciting to see all this great but disparate work, known and unknown, brought together into a narrative that would never happen in any other context. It's also so exciting to see the way our society today has been shaped by these artists and the way their work has come into our collective nostalgia. The show is up in New York's New Museum until May 26th, so if you're in town, definitely check out and get ready for a major nostalgia kick.
