Solange Knowles was in town last night to give Paris a taste of her neo-rhythm and blues on her European tour in support of her incredible new album True. She and Dev Hynes of Blood Orange stopped by our office on the way to the show to try on some of the new Spring Summer '13 collection that's starting to come in (and heading soon to stores!). We're so excited that she and the band are repping KENZO on her entire tour, so she stopped by to pick out a brand new look for her Paris show.
The crowd at Nouveau Casino was seriously enamored by her live renditions of her songs, her voice sounding spectacular and sultry as she sung through the songs on her new album and slayed us with an incredible slow-burning version of Selena's "I Could Fall in Love". Her backing band of Dev on guitar, two backup singers, a bassist and a drummer seriously got us all moving as they played some of her other hits, but not a single soul was left still when she played "Losing You", her new single we've all been absolutely obsessed with.
Afterwards everyone headed to L'Embuscade in the Paris' ninth where Kindness was DJing the after party.
