TÊTE À TÊTE WITH MATHIAS KISS, INTERIOR ARTIST AND KENZO COLLABORATOR.
Thirty minutes after I first met Parisian interior artist Mathias Kiss, known for his use of the optical illusion style trompe-l'oeil, and designer of the marble print featured in the Kenzo Women’s 2012 Fall-Winter collection, he was offering to decorate my new apartment for me. Just like that, out of the blue. Maybe it was because one of my lame jokes had made him laugh, but really he’s just that type of guy. The type who paints skies on Catherine Deneuve’s ceilings, who does interior design for Nicolas Godin and Stefano Pilati and who, when meeting with you, a stranger, in the middle of the night, offers to come and make your life more beautiful.
