Britney Spears. KENZO. Peter Lindbergh. What could at first seem an unusual trifecta, actually makes total sense when one learns that collection is all about icons.
La Collection Memento N°2 focuses heavily on denim and was inspired by the 1986 Paris runway debut of KENZO Jeans. But a more esoteric theme is “Icons”, the KENZO motifs are all featured heavily in the project, alongside Britney Spears.
THE JUMPING TIGER
In the history of the brand, the memento tiger is one of the first icons Kenzo Takada developed in the ‘70s.
I was really flattered when KENZO approached me to be the face of their 50th anniversary line.
Britney is certainly an icon…
and the quintessential queen of denim. Of similar stature in the photo world is Peter Lindbergh, who ignited the age of the supermodel.
I love the brand, and with denim being a big part of this collection, it made it that much more appealing to me since denim is such a part of my own style.
I love all sorts of hats, including baseball caps.
KENZO – La Collection Memento N°2
Lindbergh captured Britney in all her American Dream glory and beauty. Shot in Los Angeles, the campaign is a bit cheeky, optimistic, and joyous.
Peter made me laugh so hard on set! I was a big fan of his before - his images are iconic - and am an even bigger fan now.
Honestly, I loved all of it! The denim of course, and the florals are so fresh & pretty.
