KENZO - La Collection MementoN°4
We are delighted to celebrate the next phase in the development of KENZO – La Collection Memento.
As with each La Collection Memento, we have selected to reinvigorate a different element from the archives of the time of our house’s founder Kenzo Takada. This time we have decided to put the spotlight on some of the house’s most vivid and diverse prints and graphics. We celebrate Kenzo Takada’s fun and whimsical side - his consistent ability to bring a tongue and cheek attitude to the fashion world, and most importantly his love for food and entertaining. His consistent ability to bring a tongue and cheek attitude to the fashion world and most importantly his love for food and entertaining. Key printed pieces, instantly identifiable as KENZO, are at the core of this collection. Historical icons such as the tiger appear in a multitude of expressions.
Carol Lim & Humberto Leon
To present the collection, KENZO and directors Partel Oliva invited movement director and choreographer Paul Sadot and choreographer Nqobilé Danseur to work on a joint creation at the crossroads of several traditions. This meeting took place on a unique experiential stage where boundaries between audience and performers collapse in a new way.
