The Campaign

In a raw reportage featuring images and videos, Ari Marcopoulos captures seven real skaters and friends in Los Angeles – Tre’Veon Ladson, Tyron Watts, Vincent Nava, Omoye Brown, Surish Singh, David Branom and Rebecca L’Amore. Outfitted in pieces from the capsule against the Californian backdrop, the campaign provides an intimate insight into their everyday lives.

The Skateroom project unites artists, galleries, museums, foundations, and non-profits around the world in a new economic model — « Art for Social Impact ».
By placing works of art on responsibly made skateboards, The Skateroom challenges the status quo of brand and corporate responsibility, and turns consumers into active contributors in socially engaged projects.
KENZO has partnered with The Skateroom to launch an exclusive edition featuring the archival KENZO Gardenia print. 100% of profits from this limited edition will be donated to a social skateproject to empower at-risk youth in Jamaica.
