Greetings From Angkor ! Cambodia
This summer we received some postcards from Humberto's summer trips! The first one is from Angkor.
"In France we're lucky enough to get an extended summer holiday every year, and while we love to take some time for a little R and R, we usually like to opt for adventure. And it was in that spirit that we made our way to Cambodia to explore the ruins of the city of Angkor, "the largest preindustrial city in the world," around 1,000 square kilometers according to our guidebook. Various temples that had long been lost to the jungle are everywhere, surrounding the main temple of Angkor Wat, which, also according to our nifty guidebook, is the largest religious structure in the world. We made like Angelina Jolie in Tomb Raider and explored nearly a dozen temples in the area, studying the amazing stone carvings and their stories".
