It is definitely the best time for corn, with most northern hemisphere countries' corn hitting its peak.

One of the best things to do with the fresh corn readily available is this recipe for fresh corn soup.

My second favorite thing to look for now is apples, which also hit their juicy peak this month. It's time for apple picking and drinking apple cider!

Apple cider is best made spiced and hot, so here's my favorite recipe for mulled apple cider.

Other things in their prime include:

  • Beets
  • Blackberries
  • Broccoli
  • Brussels Sprouts
  • Cabbage
  • Cauliflower
  • Chicory
  • Cranberries
  • Dates
  • Figs
  • Grapes
  • Leeks
  • Lettuce
  • Okra
  • Oranges
  • Parsnips
  • Peppers
  • Pumpkins
  • Shallots
  • Sweet Potatoes
  • Turnips

Happy Thanksgiving!
