For the Fall-Winter 2026 collection presentation, Nigo invites us into Kenzo Takada’s former residence as a homecoming.
Reflecting the spirit of this living space, a dialogue between French and Japanese influences is omnipresent.Touchstones from Americana and other aesthetic cues surface – from varsity graphics and cowboy shirts to classic Italian tailoring and Chinese ‘pankou’ detailing.
As a collector, Nigo’s approach is simultaneously precise, curious, and playful. Original Kenzo silhouettes and patterns are reimagined, such as the Kenzo Jungle tiger from the 1980s.
Archive pieces are revisited, notably embroidered organza skirts from Spring-Summer 1994, alongside the return of two-tone neo tailoring last seen in Fall-Winter 2022. Kimono tailoring evolves through elevated constructions, including kimono and peak lapels on suits. Within the collection, a new signature of the House emerges: the Kenzogram.
Shoes and accessories extend the collection’s narratives of florals and varsity spirit. Embroidered ballet flats sit alongside a statement canvas tote bag with contrasted leather trims, while the 1986 Kite bag returns, morphing into new expressions.
