La Fête de Kenzo

KENZO returns to Place des Victoires for Fashion Week

Fifty years after the opening of the legendary Kenzo boutique at 3, Place des Victoires, the French Maison will return to the central Parisian square with La Fête de Kenzo, a week-long programme featuring a SS27 showroom, a pop-up, a cafe, a Konbini-inspired market, and a florist.

A grand, circular square straddling the 1st and 2nd arrondissements, La Place des Victoires was first built in the 17th century. In 1976, Kenzo moved into number 3, transforming a 3000 m² building into offices, design studios, and a boutique.

It was in this circular Parisian square, where six different streets meet, that Kenzo’s unique French-Japanese vision met the world — and welcomed everyone in. There was the infamous opening party – an illustration of which will feature in the upcoming collection and invitation. There was the vast ground floor vitrine that housed such theatrical window displays as a giant cowboy cut-out and a life-sized elephant sculpture. And there was the spectacular 1981 show, in which Kenzo tented over the entire square.

From June 22 to June 28, the square will be transformed into an immersive and festive space open to everyone, featuring a series of ephemeral experiences including an exclusive pop-up store, a café, a Konbini-inspired market, and a florist.
